The first image is a rather moderate zoom in the border area of the two big blobs in the mandelbrot set. The black area isn't part of the set, but rather areas with low iteration counts (except the small mandelbrot set in pic 4, seen as a dot in pic 3 as well).
Space flower
As everywhere else, you get the original rezolution (approx 650 × 450 pixels) by following the link of the images. The images are created with a Unix version of fractint>.
